Allen Byler
CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN
Also known as the guy who makes sure everything in the field actually happens. From following (and sometimes adjusting) designs to operating heavy equipment and managing field crews, if it’s being built, moved, or fixed, Allen’s got a hand in it.
With 30 years in construction and related fields, Allen brings experience, ingenuity, and just the right amount of stubborn problem-solving to every project. Proving that a good degree really can take you places, he’s spent the last few decades using his BA in Landscape Architecture from Ball State University to turn blueprints into reality.
When not on a job site, Allen has an appreciation for the big picture. He recommends that everyone visit Washington, D.C., at least once to take in the history, architecture, and urban planning (and maybe also to see where all those tax dollars end up).
In his spare time, Allen enjoys crunching numbers so much that math calculations are his go-to doodles. And when it comes to crazy experiences, let’s just say he learned the hard way that 50 mph and unexpected terrain changes don’t mix well. In spite of a bent dirt bike and a face full of dirt, he is living proof that a little improvisation (and some borrowed motorcycle parts) will always keep things moving.
